Previewing the 2024 Wagoneer EV and Jeep® Recon EV

A rugged, luxurious, and eco-friendly vehicle is a tough order for many carmakers to fill. The Jeep® and Wagoneer brands already check two of those three boxes, and they’re about to rather emphatically check the third with new Jeep models and Wagoneer variants that put a unique twist on the EV formula. 

Wagoneer EV

The Wagoneer is one of the premier SUVs available today, and an electric powertrain only makes it better. The Wagoneer EV will be powered by two motors – a 125-kW motor in the front and a 330-kW motor in the back. Combined, these will generate a massive 600 horsepower. Plus, when the battery is full, it offers a driving range of 400 miles*. The Wagoneer EV is highly nimble for a big vehicle, propelling you from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a scant 3.5 seconds.

Jeep Recon EV

Inheriting some of its DNA from the iconic Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Recon EV will be similar to the tried-and-true SUV. For example, you will be able to remove its doors and roof. But it will also have its own distinct elements. First, it will have a driving range of 400 miles on a single charge*. Plus, you will be able to take it almost anywhere. It’s a trail-rated model, and it comes with Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system, as well as:

• Skid plates
• E-lock axles
• Tow hooks
• Off-road tires
